StrokeQuant: Novel Software for Quantification of core infarct volume in stroke 

Unmet Medical Need:  Stroke remains one of the major causes of death and disability, and current gold standards for evaluating stroke therapy are qualitative and not great at predicting long-term outcome. Recent work indicates that core infarct volume on diffusion weighted MRI in stroke is the most important predictor of clinical outcome. However, core infarct volume is currently unquantifiable.

Envisioned Healthcare Product: The envisioned product is an efficient ready-to-be-licensed software for segmentation/quantification of core infarct volume in stroke to better inform diagnosis, treatment option and response, and prognostication. It is easy-to-use, reliable, and readily integrated into the routine clinical workflow of all hospital PACS workstations.
