Now in its seventh year, BiomedX has received over 140 applications and funded 47 teams for $4.3M cumulatively. Of those 47 teams, 18 have been licensed to startups or industry. Collectively, the 47 funded teams have generated over $72M in follow-on funding. Click here to explore all of the BiomedX funded projects. 

This year 18 teams were selected to participate in the BiomedX bootcamp focused on commercializing medical technologies. The course included 34 principal investigators (engineering, life sciences, clinical) and 23 graduate students (engineering, MBA, MD, DMD) enrolled for credit and embedded on the project teams. A subset of teams participating in the course were selected to pitch their envisioned technologies and business opportunities for potential commercialization support through the BiomedX program on April 24th, 2018.
