Bring Your Ideas to Life

Apply for proof-of-concept funding to support development of promising biomedical technologies that impact patient care. Applications are now being accepted for 2015-2016 Columbia-Coulter Translational Research Grants, with approximately $1,000,000 in funding and commercialization support available. Pre-proposal applications are due by Tuesday, December 1, 2015.

Successful Pre-Proposal applicants will be invited to attend an 8-week “Boot Camp” course designed to guide teams through the application process and strengthen understanding of the technology commercialization process. During the Boot Camp, teams will explore two fundamental questions:  1) Does their envisioned project address a true unmet clinical need? and 2) Is there a viable business opportunity? These are the same questions that judges will have in mind when selecting projects to move onto the final round, where teams will work with experts to build their commercialization plan and define their innovation.

The Partnership will deploy funding and resources (marketing, regulatory, reimbursement, and legal) to help advance nascent biomedical ideas from conception to proof-of-concept.
